AnonymousI definitely hope so! He has a good commentator’s voice, still knows most of the gymnasts and is up-to-date on all the rules. So I guess, if he’s up to it, the channels would be lucky to have him!

At his announcement… I cried. Philipp Boy always and forever.

I know many of you will be sad and disappointed about this message: Today I have announced my retirement from competitive sports.
This decision was not easy for me, because gymnastics has been such a big part of my life! But during this year too many reasons argue against continuing my career. I will every be connected with this sports and I will try to push gymnastics on another way.
I can’t thank you enough for your numerous and lovely messages. They have touched me. I am so thankful for supporting me and the wonderful moments during the last years. You can’t imagine how much power it was for me! I can definitely look back on an awesome career. And I know what does it mean to have great fans.

I promised you guys a little summary of the video Philipp uploaded this weekend. He is standing in Berlin at Gendarmenmarkt (actually one of my favorite places in Berlin too).
- he said that he promised us another video for a long time, so he finally decided to make it
- it’s one of the first sunny days in Berlin in a long time, so he decided to soak in some sun, since he doesn’t like to go to the solarium
- Philipp is happy he has such amazing fans and that we’re still with him after he ended his career
- he also talks about meeting new people, for example Matthias Schweighöfer (famous German actor)
- he says that Berlin is his “place to be” right now. He’s working from there and sometimes visits sports events
- he promises there’s going to be a 3rd (and maybe even a fourth video) and it won’t take him another year
I hope I didn’t forget anything. :)
